The Apollo 55000-122APO can be used with most conventional fire alarm panels, rate of rise heat detectors monitor temperature by using a dual thermistor network which triggers the fire control panel at a pre-set level or by detecting a sudden increase in temperature.

The Apollo Series 65 A1R heat detector has a fixed temperature trigger limit of 57°C but will also detect a rise in heat of 12-15°C within one minute.
