Testing Your Aspirating Smoke Detection System
An aspirating smoke detector (ASD) or 'Sniffer Unit' is a system often used in fire protection, our speciality. An ASD system consists of one central detection unit which will draw air through numerous pipes to detect carbon/smoke. ASD units are capable of detecting smoke before it is visible to the naked eye and are significantly quicker than beam or point smoke detectors. This allows for faster response times when operating high-risk applications. To get further information on Aspirating Smoke Detectors, click here. You can also view VESDA aspirating smoke alarms by clicking here.
